Corday performs an experimental procedure on an Asian gentleman without permission from either the patient or a relative. A pregnant woman is brought in with a situation that could put her life at risk but she refuses to take any medication in case it puts the baby at risk, however the husband doesn't agree. Doug applies for an attending position rather than renewing his paediatric fellowship. Carol treats a 16-year-old girl for birth control and later discovers that she is having sex with her 40-year-old teacher. Meanwhile there is no change in the condition of Carter's cousin, Chase.
