A blizzard makes for a slow day in the E.R. However, Carter faces an unusual moral dilemma when a serial, homicidal rapist needs a blood transfusion in a time of blood shortage. Should the last 4 units of blood be used to save the life of the rapist when an innocent person may also come in needing the blood? The choice he makes proves to be controversial, and haunting. Kerry and Carol deliver the baby of a mentally retarded couple, whose happy occasion is dogged by interfering do-gooders who don't think they are capable of caring for the child. Meanwhile, Peter refuses Corday's offer of a date as Kerry continues her campaign against Synergix.

ER is a Drama programme.

Carter's Choice has no rating, but ER is a 4 star programme.
