Mark insists on treating a mentally incompetent woman against her wishes thus putting his job on the line, and after work takes a nurse home. Doug is asked by Charlie for some money but refuses, unfortunately she is later admitted to the ER after having been brutally raped and beaten by her pimp. Carol struggles to decide which two nurses, out of three, she must sack but with the help of Randi comes up with an alternative solution. Meanwhile Gant is having continuing problems which are met with little concern from the people around him and is later brought into ER having jumped infront of a moving train.
