Dr. Carter, I Presume

It's Carter's first night as a surgical intern and he spends his first shift on the night shift of Independance Day, while the majority of the other staff play at a work's softball game. During this shift we meet his fellow interns including Dennis Gant, Dale Edson, Dixon and Leung. Jeanie Boulet's HIV results come back, leaving Peter's future questionable. Kerry Weaver's new patient's board code system upsets many in the ER, as does her overall attitude. Doug's new girlfriend, Gretchen drops by the ER and leaves Doug desperately trying to get rid of her. We also meet Dennis Gant, another intern on Peter's blue team. Meanwhile Carol decides that quitting the ER isn't a good idea after all and stays.
