Peter and Doug argue over the hospital's decision to keep information from the family of a very sick little boy whose knee tumour had previously gone undetected by Doug 4 months ago. Chloe returns for her baby, claiming to be engaged to a cop and clean and sober for five months. Susan then tells her sister that she has filed for the adoption of her niece. Carter celebrates his residency match by getting blasted with Harper while on call which Dr. Hicks is far from impressed about. Meanwhile, Carol resorts to temp work to make up for her cut in shifts, and Mark enjoys bachelor life by buying a motorbike and growing a goatee.
