Shep blames himself after he and his partner, Raul try rescuing children from a burning building, leaving Raul fatally burned. Chloe pays the hospital a visit which puts a hitch in Susan's adoption plans of little Susie. Carter makes a rookie mistake when he receives good news. Doug goes to meet his dad at the Bulls game and when he doesn't show tracks him down and the two tell each other things that neither really wanted to hear.
