A sprinkler malfunction causes the ER to be inundated with 8 pregnant mothers from maternity. Peter spends his entire day trying to save the life of a man who jumped in front of a moving train, an effort watched by many other doctors and med. students. Carter anxiously prepares for his internship interview but worries about Peter's recommendation. Doug spends an evening with his father in a very posh hotel which turns out to be his property; Jerry tries to convince others that Scottie Pippen (a famous baseball player) visited the ER to no avail. Conni gets a baby shower thrown for her on her last day before her maternity leave starts. Meanwhile Susan gets a surprise visit from a social worker, concerning the adoption of her baby niece.
