A heat wave pushes the ER into overdrive when the air conditioning goes down. A pizza delivery van arrives - through the doors of the ER. Ross puts his all into saving a girl who has been diagnosed with suffering from an accidental cocaine overdose. Carol discusses moving in with her boyfriend, but isn't too sure about the decision. Mark brings his daughter Rachel to work with him and later has to answer her questions, Doug apologizes for turning up at Carol's apartment drunk. Susan gets an unexpected and highly unwelcome visit from her messed up sister, Chloe who tells her that she has nowhere to live. Susan gives her the key to her place, however when she returns home after work she finds her entertainment systems gone, as well as her cash and credit cards.
