Medical drama series tracing the endeavours of a strong-willed female doctor on the American frontier of the 1860s. The Reverend's good friend, Louise, becomes the new schoolteacher and soon befriends Dr Mike. But when some of the local children start to turn up seeking medical treatment, Mike suspects that the new teacher's views on discipline and punishment may be a little extreme.
