Medical drama tracing the endeavours of a strong-willed female doctor on the American frontier of the 1860s. Chaos comes to Colorado Springs in the shape of corrupt businessmen who begin to destroy the town, and ruthless skinners who slaughter the buffalo and starve the Cheyenne. When Sully confronts the skinners, he is beaten to within an inch of his life, and Dr Mike fears he may be paralysed for life.
