The blunt-talking, politically incorrect Andy Dalziel once again pairs up with his younger, fast-tracked side-kick, Peter Pascoe. A group of friends substitute their own families for each other. When the head of the family is murdered the ties are unpicked to reveal the most dysfunctional family in Wetherton.
