Drama about a mother in suburbia who, as an aggressive prosecutor, takes on cases in her neighbourhood. A courtroom shooting leaves one lawyer dead and a friend of Annabeth's seriously injured. The shooter is revealed to be a frustrated father seeking justice for his murdered daughter, and Annabeth's attempts to prosecute him are complicated by the defence's efforts to blame the prosecution for mishandling the case that saw the girl's killer go free.
