A member of Jack's basketball team sustains a near-fatal injury during a game. Kate and Dr. Yeats' work together on a case of a man with Alzheimer's. Kate and the man's daughter believe that he needs heart surgery, but Dr. Yeats' is against surgery after the man told him he did not want the operation.Keith reluctantly agrees to let his son see Aaron to talk about the shooting, but Keith doesn't believe it will do any good. Dr. Catera's assistant tries to spread holiday cheer.
