Jeffrey Geiger returns to Chicago Hope to announce that he has bought a controlling interest in the hospital, and performs an operation on Kate's patient. Kronk is forced to make some tough decisions about his father who is afflicted with Alzheimer's. Aaron and Jack ponder the affect of beliefs when several people claim to be healed after seeing an image of the Virgin Mary in the hospital lobby. Wilkes has a bad day, and Austin wonders about her place in the hospital.
