A practical joke spirals into a murder mystery when a skeleton placed on a tour bus turns out to be authentic. As Detectives Mac Taylor and Stella Bonasera work to identify the skeleton and uncover its killer, the evidence leads them from Times Square, 2004 to Times Square, 1984: one unmistakable landmark, but two very different periods in New York City's history.
