The body of 18-year-old Brian Towne is found hanging from a rope near a river and the CSI team is surprised to discover that the victim has breasts. With no indications that Brian was a pre-op transsexual, the team probes a link to his neighbour, Paul Cyden, who they suspect may have been having an affair with Brian. However, when Paul is shot dead, the investigation turns to the water treatment plant where Brian worked, and where dangerous levels of hormones have apparently been found in the water.
