When two couples are murdered in similar circumstances, Grissom and the CSI team suspect that a pair of serial killers are on the loose. However, the investigation is soon complicated by leaks to the press and a judge who refuses to grant a warrant. Elsewhere, Catherine receives troubling news about her father's murder trial.
