When Buffy comes back from her LA vacation, everyone is worried about her cold and distant behaviour towards them. Buffy won't even give Angel a chance to explain how he feels towards her. Meanwhile Cordelia and Ms. Calendar get kidnapped, could this be a trap for Buffy so that the anointed one can bring the master back to life through a ritual? Or is it a trap for her friends? Will she be able to save the day once again, or will her emotions get in the way?
