In the first episode of the American comedy, drama series we see Ally McBeal have her first day at the Fish and Cage law firm, the first set back being meeting her first love Billy Thomas, then meeting his beautiful wife Georgia! Flash backs explain the past between Ally and Billy, but Georgia soon makes her feelings clear much to Ally's disgust. This storyline is a central theme through out the entire series. Ally is then introduced to the rest of the firm including her hyper-efficient secretary Elaine. Ally soon learns a lot about the individual characters including Richard fishes obsession with money, but there's still so much more she will find out!
