Peter Davison, who would later find fame as the fifth incarnation of a certain Time Lord, is here the naughty Tristan, dodging the hard veterinary work wherever possible and leaving his chums to sort things out in pre-war Yorkshire. James and Siegfried deal with a sheepdog trainer whose dog is suffering from epilepsy. And look out for Lynda 'Oxo Mum' Bellingham, playing as ever the resourceful Mrs Herriot.
