Series 1, episode 1

In the premiere of the series, introductions are made to Reverend Eric Camden, who's a happily married minister and father of five. His wife, Annie is a stay-at-home mom raising their children. Matt, the oldest, has picked up a habit of smoking and not being able to keep a job. Mary likes to play basketball and has a craving to kiss a boy. Lucy, the middle child, is hoping to become a woman very soon. Simon, the youngest son, is hoping to get a dog even though his parents have already told him that he's too young and Ruthie, the youngest, is a happy and adorable 5 year-old. Annie learns some devastating news when her parents come for a visit to tell her that her mother has leukemia.
