Running Time: 95 minutes (approx)The extraordinary and compelling story of the world's first suicide bombers. The kamikazes were Japanese pilots who made the ultimate sacrifice: to carry a new and incomprehensible weapon of war; a final mission that would result in certain death; to dive and crash into enemy ships. Over 60 years ago, with the Second World War entering its final stages, Japan faced utter ruin and total defeat. As the Allies crept ever closer to the Japanese mainland, a Japanese High Command under increasing pressure sought desperate measures. Surviving kamikaze pilots and the families of those who died reveal how military leaders, Japan's increasingly grave situation, and their country's proud history each played a part in persuading men to sign up for certain death Still looking for more?

I was one of the U.S.Navy personnel who was interviewed for Day of the Kamikaze bye
the British film crew. I am a volunteer tour guide on a museum ship here, and the only carrier sailor who was with TF58 at Okinawa, still alive at the Museum . In Fact our ships store at the Museum asked where they could purchase them for resale?
I tell my tourists about the Day of the Kamikaze, and they continually ask where they can purchase a DVD of it. Smithsonian aired it only on their own channel and most did not see it. London sent me my own copy. Can you advise me exactly where they can purchase the DVD? Thank you.
