My own son died of SUDEP (Sudden Death in Epilepsy) in his sleep 24 Dec 2007. He was 33yrs There still is no known reason why this happens and at least 3 young adults die a day in this country from it (more than Aids and Cot deaths put together -last audit 2002). The great scandal is that I was never told my son could die from an epiletic fit (he had it from birth). After his death I met many other parents who had lost loved ones the same way and also had never been told it could happen all feeling very angry about it like myself There seems to be a unwritten code between consultants not to pass this information onto suffers or their families even though Diabetics and Asthma suffers are made aware of the risks. My son was a healthy fun loving adult with many friends and was in the process of changing his tablets when it happened we were never made aware of any danger at this time and would have been more vigilant. It seems in nearly 100 years nothing has changed.Perhaps you would consider doing a programme on this at sometime www.sudep.org or Epilepsy Action who have recently added SUDEP to their web and have been inundated with e-mails from people abroad and here complaining of the same problem, can give you more information. I know this has little to do with your programme but perhaps someone at Channel 4 may want to investigate this further. Funding is urgently required to help prevent so many young adults losing their lives in this way. King's College London are starting an investigation into this, subject to funding. Thankyou for your time.

At long last a truer depiction of Prince John's life after the docu/drama that the BBC showed which seemed to have more fiction than fact. This latest documentary gave a closer representaton of what I had known from my father, who lived with the Prince and my grandparents who were also near to the events.
