Nothing to Declare is one of the best Documentaries my wife and I enjoy. The Customs and Excise Aussies seem to have the right idea of how things should be done to stop illegal exportation and importation of goods people try to sneak in under their noses. People who go to the land of Ozz should enquire what they are permitted to take over. The Australian government should also make sure that the booking agencies inform all their customers throughout the world what is permitted. If one goes to Ozz for a month how much money should one bring with them if they do not possess a credit card...it is possible that next year I will be coming over to Ozz to visit the Australian Zoo where the late Steve Irwin did some of his shows with his wife Terri. Keep up the good work Australia's Customs and Excise...God Bless...best wishes Manfred Armsrong

With the new Hi-Tech available to the Customs and Excise why does the criminal element still try to smuggle drugs into the countries who want to prevent this from happening...Australia & New Zealand have probably got some of the best Drug Sniffing Canine I have seen in a long time, they certainly have my utmost respect. Their is one thing that would be ideal, the Declaration Card to be put into 10 most used languages so those that do not comprehend the english will have a chance of ticking the DC correctly. We all know that edible items are food related but to some visitors to the lands downunder need a little more educating about the way the customs work throughout the world. one American who was visiting Australia got so irate that he told the customs officer, that he would not recommend anyone because of the personal questions he was asked, he felt that they were violating his privacy rights as a human being...in some ways I can understand that, having travelled to 34 different countries I have never been asked how much money I have or how I intend to get from Location A to Location B...I can understand if he is a known felon who has committed crimes that warrant his visa be cancelled, but someone who was foolish in his younger days needs to be given a chance to see that part of the world that he has always dreamt off. I applaud the Customs & Excise downunder, they are the best deterrent in the world, yet in Europe we just let anyone in and place them on the benefit register...that cannot happen in Oz or the land of the Kiwi's. Bless them all who deter the badness out of a land which wants only the goodness to thrive and prosper....Manfred Armstrong

Everytime I view Nothing to Declare it makes me wonder how these special people catch on to those who try to break the law by bringing in illegal Narcotics. The Customs & Excise as they are referred to here in the UK are so on the ball that nothing seems to elude them...I praise the customs officers in Australia for not allowing in what is not permitted in the event of destroying the economy of their land. The customs who guard the Australian waters are fantastic, they too have a knack of discovering what should or should not be on a ship or boat, also referred to as a foreign vessel in the Australian waters. How many vessels try to sneak in asylum seekers or steal the food provided in the area they cover. The customs officers on these ships are also trained in tactical warfare, so all I can say is don't F--k with these guys and the ladies who are fighting to keep Australia pure of the criminal element and unwanted impurities to a country that has excelled itself by doing what they are truly good at. I hope when I eventually go to OZ and visit the Australian Zoo I will be able to shake the hands of some of these men and woman who do their country proud...people may grumble when held up for a randomized search, which may take awhile, but at the end of the day they are just doing a job which prevents the criminal element and those that think they can bring in unwanted edible food, the declaration is clear as day and in many languages, so what keeps some of these so called innocent "I did not know I could not bring it in" when it is stated on the declaration in black and white if you have any of the items stipulated. I only wish I had had the chance to serve with these brave men and women, on shore or even on a ship, it would have made my life complete.

I saw this afternoon Nothing to declare, and it was very funny to see in the above mentioned episode a familiar face. Michael. This guy travelling all over the world, with his bike, who meets people in internet and then asks them to host him, that way he travels without spending much money, living on others people expenses, and saying he does not have money. He is shown in tv with more than 20.000 euros.

1- why was he carrying all that money?

2- He saves all that money tricking people.

3- He earned that money teaching? Never saw him working.

    hahahaha lots of questions

I watched a episode of this episode this week. They had found a gentleman from an eastern european country. He was taken to a detention centre asked to sign a declaration without being given time to read it. Just like the English they are the same. After he had signed it he then added the fact regarding the charge for staying in the detention centre. I have noticed this on a regular basis and then if you want to dispute something ata later date these so called honest, law abiding people are quick to quote you "Well you signed it, didn't you read it" I have tried on many occasions to read paperwork which has to be signed and they become very agitated and say to you Oh don't worry you will get a copy which of course is too late once the presured atmosphere has taken place. What is wrong with you all
