Historian and writer Dan Cruickshank celebrates architecture as a creative force as he explores the world's greatest cities, buildings and monuments. Each programme has a theme and Dan explores cities and buildings that illustrate each theme, travelling to the locations, learning about the countries and meeting the people who live in, and with, the buildings.

    This is a fantastic serious and combined with Dan`s enthusisum and the excellent way it is narrated, coupled with all the locations worldwide and the excellant camera work....it is a real joy to watch, a real Joy......................Bring it on BB2 as this is the reason that BB2 is my most favorite Channel, also Radio2...Well done makes my hard earned cash i pay for a T.V.Licence most worthwhile...cheers

    Dan concept and presentation is excellent more programme like this are needed - but bbc need to promote these programme more it's a shame that i missed other episodes
