The Land

Series 1, episode 4

Turning back time and drawing on previously unseen archive footage to show the dramatic transformation of Britain's cities, landscape and industry. Nowhere shows the transformation that has swept the British countryside in the last 60 years more than East Anglia. Aerial photographs taken before the war depict an isolated rural landscape but the second world war transformed East Anglia into a crucible of a land revolution as its agriculture was quickly industrialised.
