Great show, but why give Toby the baker such exposure. He is one of the most unpleasant people I have ever met and is disliked by most islanders!

Michael Raven has asked where Father Guy has gone to. I was also curious and sent an e-mail to the Scilly Tourism Office and received the reply that Father Guy and his family were still very much a part of the Scilly Islands but opted out of appearing in the second series. Hope this answers the question.

The narrator is called Nigel Farrell. He's a journalist. He also filmed a series called 'A Place in France' with Nippi Singh, where they bought a ramshackle house and tried to do it up and set up there permanently - though it didn't work in the end.

"The theme tune as far as I know is Horses by Chris Rea".

No it isn't.... it's an original composition by Howard Goodall.

Though there are similarities Horses isn't the tune heard on the series.
