Hello there. I love watching Homes Under The Hammer. What is the piece of music called when the Estate Agents re-visit a property. It sounds quite jazzy.

I am looking for the area in which a pub was featured. It was bought by a mother and son-her husband died 2 years previously. The pub and living accomodation upstairs was also renovated. The pub i believe was called THE TWO SAWYERS, and Lucy Alexander did the interview. The lady in question said that she had come full circle in her life because she was born in the area and her father lived in the area. I would like to know the area where the pub is as i would like to visit it. I hope you can help. Many thanks.

I realise that there is a lot to be learned re. the pitfalls of purchasing these properties but this last season the number of times you return to unfinished properties has definitely curbed my enjoyment of your programme.
Surely you could give us a minimum of one finished property in every programme.

CAPITAL GAINS TAX????
Watched lots of episodes of HUTH but there's never any reference to Capital Gains Tax that sellers may have to pay when profits are discussed.
Log structures are increasing in popularity for a range of applications. Now, thanks to an agreement between Avalon Timber Frame Homes and Riverbend Log Homes of Canada high quality log houses, cottages, lodges and even home offices are available in the UK.

The profit never seems to include the mortgage, council tax, rates and so on paid while the refurbishment was taking place and must be payable even if the people live elsewhere? This could add thousands to the cost if the development takes a while? Please include it. Also, it would be nice to know where items of furniture and unusual fittings were purchased.

Have you considered the desirability of showing this progamme and similar ones at a time of rapidly falling property prices, and the prospect of serious financial problems for many. I know broadcasters need cheap TV, but there are ethical questions here.

I cannot see the relevance of this programme at all in the current economic climate (June 2008). In fact I find it very insulting and offensive. Repeating programmes from two years ago is bad news and holds no truth in the property market at the moment.
Please take it off now.
The BBC is acting exceptionally irresponsible and seems to show no care at all for people’s feelings.

I have been told by a friend that an episode around April time featured my old house in Canvey Island - it was the first house my husband and I bought; he passed away 4 years ago so I would dearly love to see this programme and be able to show my children where we lived then. Does anyone know if it's possible to view old episodes online?
Thanks!

In Homes Under The Hammer S09 E13, there's a short piece of music (starts at 50:30 ends at 51:09). It's a bit drowned out by Martin's voiceover! I can't get iplayer but perhaps someone else can.
Hi, i am lookin to find out what happened to a particular property. The property was bought at auction in excess of £400,000 i believe the property was a graded building and there was a huge amount of renovation work to be done. HUTH went back 9 months later but the job was still not complete. The property was bought by a gentleman who had a lot of background in this type of renovation work. The property when completed will be worth inexcess of £1.5 million. When this episode was aired (not sure how long ago - but within the last year) it had a link on to watch the progression of the development.
I am wondering if anyone has seen this episode or if anyone knows of the property that I am talking about and has any details of the project that I can see.
Many Thanks

Watched an episode today in NZ - no idea how old it is but very curious to find the episode. There was a strange 2 storey stone building at the end of a lond path in between houses in Plymouth (which was turned into a photographic studio and rented), a couple of old brick buildings on a piece of land sold from a huge estate somewhere. I think the owner's name was James and he was battling with the council over planning permission for 25-30% extension when the current permission only allowed him 15%. Does this ring a bell?
