Tucker's father leaves his mother for a younger woman, so he and his mother move in with his tyrannical aunt Claire, his goofy uncle jimmy, and their crazy son Leon. At first Tucker despises this new arrangement and he struggles to cope with school, adolescence and the divorce of his parents.

Things start to look up for Tucker when he meets the pretty girl who lives next door, McKenna. He now puts all of his energy into making her his girlfriend, but this is no easy task.
