Its nice to see that the Treacle People are back on TV This set of characters were created by my family and myself We had many enjoyable years showing people around the treacle Mine attraction at Sabden in Lancashire Sadly no longer though!

We wish all the viewers many happy hours of good old fashion fun watching the stories which we wrote to appeal to young and old alike

Bill and his family were so unlucky not to have telly tubby type fame (and fortune) for this wonderful series idea based on good honest science learning for kids. I hope they still go on to prosper. A friend.

Delighted by the Treacle People shown recently at unspeakably early timeslot on 5. Missed them in 1995, kids wrong age (and running a pub so no TV viewed anyway). Hope to see again with grandchild! Great puns. Loved policeman on chop-out. Hope Bill Dewhurst keeps an eye on the treacle mines capped shafts for settlement and potential seepage. Middle-age problem, that, seepage.

Does Lil have a fan club?
