Bart goes to hospital after he eats a metal Krusty O. While she visits him, Lisa meets up with jazz mentor Bleeding Gums Murphy who tells his life story for one last time. While Lisa is at a school recital, Bleeding Gums Murphy passes away. At the funeral, Lisa notices that no-one knew Bleeding Gums Murphy or anything about his music so Lisa asks DJ Bill too play a tribute to Bleeding Gums, she is shocked to realize they don't have any of his music.
