When Homer can't go to the ballet because his arms are stuck in two vending machines, Marge offers to take divorced neighbour Ruth Powers to go instead. The two have a great time, so they decide to go out together more often, leaving Homer lonely. Homer decides to go and look for his own fun, leaving the kids in the hands of lawyer Lionel Hutz. But Marge isn't so sure about hanging out with Ruth after she finds out that the car Ruth drives is actually stolen.
